We are once again looking for an Associate Trainee to join us during November 2019 / Spring 2020.

What we require?

You study law in a Finnish university and, when applying, you have successfully completed all / nearly all mandatory courses related to procedural law, contract law and competition law. The completion of any additional courses regarding these areas of law and strong command of the English language are considered as clear advantages.

You hopefully have prior work experience in private practice (as a legal trainee/intern in a law firm either in Finland or abroad).

You are eager to learn more and enthusiastic about the mentioned fields of law.

What we offer?

We offer a part-time traineeship during your studies from November 2019 until May / June 2020. By working with us you will have the opportunity to learn the basics of contract drafting, commercial disputes, competition law, and M&A assignments. This part-time traineeship will definitely benefit you in the remainder of your law studies and improve your future employment possibilities.

We offer a competitive salary and flexible working hours in accordance with the recommendations of the Finnish Lawyers’ Association.

5.6.2019 – Guide on Shareholders’ Agreements

Huhtamäki Brothers has written a Guide on Shareholders’ Agreements (“Osakassopimusopas” in Finnish) for The Finnish Business School Graduates, Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland, and TEK Union of Professional Engineers in Finland. The guide has been published by the mentioned special interest organizations in May 2019, and intends to provide general guidance on the mentioned agreements to the individual members of these organizations.

Huhtamäki Brothers is a leading law firm that advises small and medium sized companies and shareholders thereof in drafting and solving disputes that concern shareholders’ agreements.

We are happy to announce that Axel Gamba has joined Huhtamäki Brothers as our new Associate Trainee.

Axel is currently finalizing his Master of Laws studies at the University of Helsinki. Previously Axel has worked at several major and medium-sized business law firms and has been actively involved in student association affairs. Axel also has a strong international background and studies from University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Stockholm University.

Here at Huhtamäki Brothers, Axel will be assisting our lawyers and clients in a vast variety of cases.

11.3.2019 – Heikki A. Huhtamäki’s Doctoral Dissertation

Our partner Heikki A. Huhtamäki has been writing his (LL.D.) doctoral dissertation focusing on Finnish and EU monetary injunctions for five years. The dissertation is now at its final stage and  will be published in fall 2019. The dissertation will include an English abstact section. 12.12.2018 – Heikki Huhtamäki Lecturing

Our partner Heikki Huhtamäki is chairing Alma Talent’s annual Injuctions 2018 (in Finnish “Turvaamistoimet 2018”) seminar on 12 December 2018. The seminar will be held in Finnish. During the seminar, Heikki will, with other practitioners, analyse Finnish and EU legislation modifications regarding injunctions. In addition, Heikki will present relevant case law concerning Finnish monetary injuctions as well as injunctions under the so-called EAPO regulation, which he has studied in his doctoral thesis that is going to be published later in 2019.
